Hikvision is innovating video surveillance technology, yielding better data and reducing false alarms by applying deep learning algorithms.

Deep learning can process more data with complex classifications than traditional algorithms. Deep learning is similar to the human learning process, eventually developing greater understanding and intelligence in processing information, with the ability to recognize thousands of features, according to the Hikvision press release.

Without deep learning, target identification is more challenging and less accurate, and prone to false alarms. With deep learning technology, greater details can be recognized, including recognition of facial features and distinguishing a person versus an inanimate object. Deep learning improves accuracy of data for surveillance applications, delivering more accurate details for business decision making.
